Demand for Services is Growing

The dedication to the community, along with significant staff expertise and a growing reputation for excellent health care service, has led to a rapidly growing practice. Patients are coming to UFPHC from all across the east metro area as a result of the Center’s mission to serve.

Although staff continue to deliver excellent care to every patient, this rapid growth is straining the current 16,000 square foot facility. UFPHC has plans to move to a new, larger building by the end of 2008.  However, the commitment remains to the community, as the new facility will still be in the same geographical area as the current clinic.

A larger building will allow us to expand the services we are able to provide.

We're Growing Into a New Space

A new, larger clinic is needed to house the growing patient population, as well as the United Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, which is associated with United Hospital, the largest tertiary hospital in the east metro area.

“We want to be a national model for how to provide high quality care to diverse populations within a Family Medicine teaching center,” Dr. Gerald Montie, medical director. “UFPHC will continue to serve a full spectrum of patients, from insured to uninsured, from rich to poor, using our sliding fee scale for payment,” said Dr. Kathleen Macken, director of the Residency Program.  “But we will have a special orientation toward the medically underserved.”patients
